Go the extra mile, surprise your loved one and stay the night nestled at the base of the range at our two person campsite, equipped with elevated tent swag, barbecue hamper for the evening meal to cook yourself at your own leisure, or have a hearty breakfast at The Hoosh Cafe after enjoying a glass of wine taking in the breathtaking red ochre glow of Sunsets unique to this region. Time to Settle in, relax and enjoy the romance of stargazing under our infamous night sky’s.

RAINBOW VALLEY SUNRISE /JAMES RANGE CAMELS DAY TOUR
Your transfer will pick you up between 5.30-6am depending on the time of the year to travel 90kms south of AS to Rainbow Valley taking in a breathtaking Sunrise, spectacular views and photographs before taking the 1km loop or 1.6 km Claypan walk to get up close & personal with the endearing sandstone ridge option.
You will then be transferred to the Camel Farm nestled at the base of the James Ranges to join the experienced team of Camaleers to learn all things Camels as you venture out for a half hour ride on our team of mature working Dromadary Camels.
On return you will enjoy a delicious prepared lunch special of the day and refreshment. There will be some free time to wander and enjoy the peaceful ambience of the farm, indulge in some retail or local arts & culture before being transferred back to Alice Springs.

RAINBOW VALLEY SUNSET OVERNIGHT TREK
Escorted by our professional, experienced team of Cameleer’s, you will take a days ride/walking mindfully along the base of the James Ranges, through hidden Valleys to experience the many wonders that this ancient landscape has to offer. Stopping along the way for morning tea and lunch before arriving at the overnight Basecamp where you will find your comfortable elevated tent/swag and bush amenities to settle in and refresh before enjoying a glass of wine at sunset, taking in the majestic view and breathtaking colors of Rainbow Valley.
Head back to camp for an evening meal before retiring for an evening of stargazing under the infamous Milky wave of the vast Central Australia night sky. Sunrise offers you the opportunity to take in more spectacular views and photographs with the choice to do the 1km loop or 1.6km Claypan walk and get up close and personal with the endearing sandstone ridge before your transfer takes you back to Alice Springs or the farm.

A Short Educational presentation on the characteristics and history of Camels with a five minute yard ride aboard our team of mature working Camels from our platform. Double up, enjoy the ride and give your Camel a carrot treat of gratitude.
Staying the night - With extra time we can arrange a farm visit into the Saddleling & Wool Shed to see how we get ready in the morning, how we process our wool and turn it into wonderful textile pieces. You can even book a felting class, or purchase some wool or a Camel pack to make on the road or your way home.
